Implant Planning
Implants for placing missing teeth
Do you have a missing tooth or multiple teeth. Replacing missing teeth begins always the patients smile and bite function in mind. The goal is not just to fill an empty space rather than restore the function and esthetics as close to nature as possible. Planning of these treatments starts in the prosthodontist office. We decide the preferred implant position. After careful planning we then often consult with oral surgeons who is left with the placement of the implants and if there is any additional surgery needed to restore, for example missing bone or soft tissue for the implant. All this guided with the original plan by the prosthodontist.
Implants can be the only thing that patient needs to restore esthetics and function or implantation can be planned with comprehensive dental care.
Prices:
Single upper front tooth if additional bone augmentation isn't needed:
with temporary implant crown which is often needed to sculpt the gumline into right position 3500–4000 euros. If the temporary phase is needed, to save a few euros it's not advised to skip this part.
Without temporary crown phase and now augmentation procedures (sometimes it can be done without compromising the end result or if the gumline doesn't show when smiling) around 3000 euros
Single implant in the posterior section around 2600e- 3000e.
If bone and soft tissue augmentation is needed the prize will be determined upon consultation with both the prosthodontist and oral surgeon and the prize depends on the complexity of the case.
We are using only the biggest 'brand' implants: Straumann, Dentspy astra and conelog/camlog implants.
In the field of modern dentistry more and more implants are planned with 3D planning to get precise and predictable outcomes. This planning phase requires CBCT and scanning of your teeth and after we often make a splint that guides the implant surgery exactly where we planned the treatment. This way the esthetic outcome is also predictable.
Often if a clinic's implant fees are way lower than the competition, there are steps that are missed and savings made all the way through the process starting from the planning process. And often the whole treatment is carried out by general dentists not specialists in this field who have gone through extensive training. The difference becomes clear, especially with complex treatments and where the esthetic demand is high.
Correcting mispositioned and poorly planned implants is more difficult, and it will eventually cost double if not planned carefully from the beginning.
